What is the largest cruise ship ever? There were many through out the history and here comes the newest one in to the list.  STX France boat yard Saint-Nazaire on the Atlantic coast spent 40 months building the world’s largest cruise ship ‘Harmony of the Seas’ before it handed over to its owners US-based Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (RCCL). The ship cost more than one billion US dollars can accommodate 6,360 passengers and 2,100 crew members.

And Harmony of the seas now hold the record of being the widest ship ever built with 66 metres (217 feet) width and 362-metre length makes it longer than the height of Eiffel Tower.

And the newest world record holder as the world’s largest ship is not just the largest it is a huge floating town with inside high street, central park with 12,000 plant species. And Ship also has its own 1400 seat theatre and many more like a rope slide, surf simulator, casino, mini-golf and a giant climbing wall. All these amazing features made it also the most expensive cruise ship ever built.

And the most popular "The Ultimate Abyss" a huge waterslide from the top deck to the main deck.

As Laurent Castaing Head of STX France says, "Creating this ship in 40 months is an extraordinary feat -- it's the achievement of thousands of people," Best thing is Harmony of the seas CO2 emission is 20 percent less than the two largest ships in its category (Allure of the Seas and Oasis of The Seas).

Harmony of the seas, world largest cruise ship will make its maiden voyage on 22nd of May to its first destination port Barcelona.
