Do you worry about a bio attack? No not seriously. But according to the World health organization more people die due to air pollution compared to road accidents. So even though we may not have to worry about a bio attack we all living in an environment where the risk is high.

Tesla always look for the best technology like other companies, but most of the time Tesla came up with good findings to keep the passengers in safe. And this time it’s a new feature which is going to available in Tesla Model S now in production - According to TeslaMotors website updates.

According to Tesla this technology inspired by the Air filtering systems used by Hospitals, clean rooms and space industry. This system stops outside air entering the cabin and systematically scrubbing the air inside the cabin to remove any traces of polluted air. Finally the filtering system which is more efficient than standard, common cabin air filters makes the air inside cabin cleaner and safer for the passengers.

Tesla did some real environment tests in California freeways in rush hours and in major cities of China. They wanted to see the results in a Controlled environment so they did a test with a Model X in polluted air bubble (1,000 µg/m3 of PM2.5). Tesla results were so good where the system not only cleared the polluted air inside the vehicle but also outside the cabin inside the bubble (by reducing PM2.5 levels by 40%). So this system can protect you and make it better for others around you from a military grade bio attack. More than anything you can drive in more hectic and polluted environments, cities trusting your vehicle to give you cleaner air to breath.
