Oppo, you may not have heard this name already but there’s a
Chinese phone manufacturing company which has come up with nice technologies to
change the mobile phone technology.
Even though big companies comes with new features and
devises to give you entertainment with their new high mega pixel cameras and
wide screens, it’s very rare we see a competition on battery life and charging
speed increasing technologies. Qualcomm claims that their next gen charge 3.0
can reportedly get a phone battery to 80% in about 35 minutes. And Oppo claims
that they can do it less than 16 minutes.
Still the technology is in the prototype stage, but the
company says that they will add this technology to their next coming phones
later this year. They showed a real time charging session at Mobile World
Congress held in Barcelona with a reference device featuring 2500mAh Battery
which goes from 0-85% in 7 minutes as the pic below.
As Oppo says using a low voltage pulse charging algorithm
technology, it’s ensures the “the utmost safety, stability and device
sustainability.” Which remains within the standard voltage level for
smartphones recharging.
If this technology get success and comes in to the market as
they promised, this would change the market competition on smartphones to a new
aspect. And for sure Oppo will create a new name in the Smartphone industry.
